The Beach at Long Beach

Long Beach is indeed a long beach. It runs for miles with surf meeting sand. It's an easy walking beach, even at high tide. There is always a band of firm sand, but you have to watch out for cars. Long Beach is open to traffic. The water is wild and not for swimming, but the sea and sky are beautiful. There are low dunes covered with beach grass between the beach and the rest of the world. A few hardy, salt tolerant pines jut from the prairie.
