We usually eat at the Fountain Cafe in Port Townsend, but we haven't been in town lately so we decided to branch out and try something new. If nothing else, we had heard that Fountain Cafe was under new management and that Lonny's was not what it used to be. So, we tried Fins, and we were pleased.

Fins has great water views and a small outdoor dining area for those who don't mind dining outdoors. It also has good seafood, an imaginative menu and a good wine list. They have great fried calamari and good, spicy Dungeness crab cakes. We had the excellent Kobe beef burger with sweet pickles and other goodies on a bun, and had to admit that it was good. Kobe beef is at least as good as Angus beef, and we love the Angus beef burgers at Etta's. The mushroom and shrimp sandwich was rich and gooey, and it had lots of shrimp.

All told, we had a very nice meal.
