Lobster Club (80th off Madison)
This is a most comfortable restaurant in a town house off bustling Madison Avenue. It is homey and can serve as a port in a storm. You can eat upstairs or downstairs, but we always like to eat upstairs. If nothing else, up here you can count lobsters in the artwork on the walls. Downstairs, check out the New Yorker covers in the bathrooms and the neat basement coat elevator at the maitre d's station.
The restaurant is named for its signature dish, a lobster club sandwich, full of juicy lobster tail, smoky bacon, lettuce, tomato and buttery brioche.
